Who can join the Cedarburg Garden Club?
Anyone who loves gardening or wants to learn more about it! Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, we welcome all levels of enthusiasm and knowledge. Our members are a friendly, like-minded group who enjoy sharing their love of gardening and supporting each other’s growth. Learn more about Why you should join CGC here.
What does membership involve?
Our club is very active! Members help plant and maintain several public gardens in the Cedarburg area and participate in two to three fundraisers each year. These efforts support our contributions to local civic and charitable organizations, making a positive impact in our community. Membership dues are $30 annually.
What are the meetings like?
We meet monthly, and each meeting features a guest speaker who covers engaging topics related to gardening—such as landscape design, native plants, and conservation. Meetings are a great opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas, and find new inspiration for your own garden.
Our meetings are held primarily on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm at the Cedarburg American Legion Post. Come to a meeting and if you like what you see, you can join right then. Please email us at cedarburggardenclub@gmail.com.
Are there any special events for members?
Yes! Each year, we organize an exciting bus trip to a botanical garden or arboretum, allowing members to explore beautiful landscapes and gather fresh ideas. We also host an annual tour of members’ gardens, providing insight into each other’s gardening styles and creativity.

Where is the Cedarburg Legion Post?
How involved will I get?
We are a very active club. Each member will be asked to work in a club garden and serve on at least one of our committees. Each member must work at the annual Plant Sale. We also ask that members attend at least five (5) business meetings per year. Being this involved also means you’ll meet other like-minded gardeners and deliver on our mission statement.
Do I have to live in Cedarburg?
Where do the proceeds go from the fundraisers?
We donate to city and county organizations for beautification and also to organizations that protect our environment. We also provide scholarships to MATC Horticulture students.

Our club gardens are located at:
- Cedarburg City Hall Garden
- Kuhefuss House Garden
- Mill Street Garden
- Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts Garden
- Cedarburg City Streets Flower Baskets
- Cedarburg Public Library
What time are the meetings?
All meetings are held at the American Legion in Cedarburg at 6:00 pm unless otherwise noted. The public is welcome to attend the presentation beforehand, and those interested in becoming a member are welcome to stay for our business meeting.
